AstroDaily ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed and operated by Mohit Sharma, an individual developer. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the AstroDaily iOS application.
1. Information We Collect
To provide accurate astrological charts and personalized readings, we collect the following information that you voluntarily provide:
- Name — used to personalize your experience within the app
- Date of birth — required to compute your birth chart
- Time of birth — required for accurate house placements and ascendant calculation
- Place of birth — required to determine the geographic coordinates for chart computation
- Email address (optional) — used for account recovery and important service communications
2. How We Use Your Information
Your personal information is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Computing your astrological birth chart using Swiss Ephemeris calculations
- Generating personalized daily readings based on planetary transits relative to your chart
- Performing Kundli analysis, including Dosha and Yoga identification
- Computing Guna Milan compatibility reports when you provide a second set of birth details
- Powering conversations with Stella, your personal AI astrologer, who uses your chart data to provide contextual responses
3. Chat Conversations
When you chat with Stella, your messages and her responses are processed in real time to generate relevant astrological guidance. Chat conversations are not stored permanently on our servers. We may retain anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve the quality of responses.
4. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
Your birth details and personal information are never shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any external parties. We may use third-party infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, AI model providers) to operate the service, and these providers process data only as necessary to provide the service and are bound by their own privacy commitments.
5. Data Security
Your data is stored securely on our servers with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of all your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@astrodaily.app. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your data from our active systems within 30 days. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted.
7. Children's Privacy
AstroDaily is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
