AstroDaily uses the Swiss Ephemeris, the same astronomical engine used by professional astrologers worldwide. Planetary positions are accurate to the arc-minute. Your readings are computed from real-time transits against your actual birth chart, not generic sun-sign horoscopes. That said, astrological interpretation is inherently subjective, and the app is intended for entertainment and spiritual guidance.

Your birth time determines your Ascendant (Lagna) and the placement of planets in houses. Even a difference of a few minutes can change your Ascendant sign, which affects your entire chart interpretation. If you don't know your exact birth time, you can check your birth certificate or ask family members. The app will still work with an approximate time, but accuracy improves with a precise time.

Guna Milan uses the traditional Ashtakoota system, which evaluates compatibility across 8 categories (Koota): Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot, and Nadi. Each category carries a specific number of points, totaling 36. A score of 18 or above is generally considered favorable for marriage compatibility. The app computes this from the Moon sign (Rashi) and Nakshatra of both individuals.

Stella is your personal AI astrologer. She has access to your birth chart and understands your planetary placements, dashas, and current transits. Free users get 5 messages per day. Pro subscribers get unlimited messages. Each message you send counts as one message, regardless of length. Stella's responses do not count against your limit.

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, find AstroDaily, and tap Cancel Subscription. Your Pro features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. We cannot process cancellations or refunds directly — these are handled by Apple per their App Store policies.

Vedic (Jyotish) astrology uses the Sidereal zodiac, which accounts for the precession of equinoxes. Western astrology uses the Tropical zodiac, which is fixed to the seasons. This means your Sun sign may differ between systems. AstroDaily supports both, so you can explore your chart from either perspective. Vedic astrology also includes unique systems like Nakshatras, Dashas, and Doshas that Western astrology does not use.
